Abstract
Plastic surgeons are very aware of the problems that face children with major external ear abnormalities in the process of development and socialization. We are also aware of the difficulties created by the common prominent ear, and the ridicule that can be created. However, comparatively little has been written about recognition and treatment of the malpositioned ear. This report presents a simple and reliable method for correction of posteriorly inclined and low-positioned ears. This approach may be underutilized in clinical practice.
