Abstract
The synthesization of platinum nanoparticles and their agglomerates by using the chemical reduction method is studied. It is shown that the enhanced infrared absorption (EIRA) and the abnormal infrared effects (AIRES) are closely related to agglomerate states of Pt nanoparticles.
