Abstract
Time-series sediment traps were deployed at two offshore Prydz Bay sites within the seasonal ice zone (SIZ) of the Southern Indian Ocean to quantify seasonal biogeochemical particle fluxes. As carbonates are largely heterotrophic in the Southern Ocean they can display a relationship to particulate organic carbon (POC) exports against the autotrophic source.
