Abstract
The Southeast Asian Growth Triangle (GT) defines the links between Singapore and the Malaysian territory of Johor and the Indonesian territory of Riau. Economicintegration resulted from industrialization incentives in the two territories and Singapore's need for cheap labor for its offshore operations. Singaporean investments in these territories has resulted to a mix of economic benefits andsetbacks while failing to resolve previous animosities. Ethnicity influences the political and economic policies of GT countries.
