Abstract
The genome sequence of an inbred Abyssinian domestic cat is assembled, mapped, and annotated and compared through cross-reference to annotated genome assemblies of six mammals. Additional annotated features and evolutionary breakpoints suggested historic balancing of translocation and inversion incidences in distinct mammalian lineages.
