Abstract
Peru's Manu National Park and Biosphere Reserve offers tourists the chance to see one of the most pristine stretches of rainforest in the world, still in a near-natural state. The park houses a variety of plant and animal life, including monkeys, reptiles, birds and insects. As one of the largest reserves in the world, Manu offers its inhabitants ample room for sustained growth, but some species are still in danger. Because it was granted reserve status before the influx of rainforest depletion in the 1970s, Manu is one of the most untouched regions in the world.
