Abstract
A novel method of synthesizing alkyl (E)- and (Z)-3-trimethylstannyl-2-alkenoates was developed through the use of trimethylstannylcopper(I) reagents. The design featured removal of 2-trimethylstannyl function following reaction of copper(I) chloride with N,N-dimethylformamide. The reaction resulted in high yield alkyl (E)-3-trimethylstannyl-2-alkenoates.
