Massey, F. Alan Covin Abstract: In summary, left atrial thrombus occurs with disproportionately high frequency in patients hospitalized with atrial flutter. Male gender and a left ventricular ejection fraction < 40% are predictors of left atrial thrombus formation in such patients.
