This case involves the clinical history of a 58-year-old man who contracted chikungunya infection in Reunion in March 2006. Because his condition was complicated by meningoencephalitis and polyradiculoneuritis, the patient was repatriated to the Paris region. This is a unique case in our experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. For that reason, we report here the results of his clinical examination, management strategy, and short- and long-term progress. At the end of the case history, we discuss data about the disease reported in the literature.
