Abstract
Sequence analysis of the lymphotoxin beta gene (LT-beta), present in the murine major histocompatibility complex locus, reveals the presence of three exons. In situ hybridization enables the expression of this gene in lymphoid and hematopoietic tissues. Ets transcription factors with a similar lymphoid expression pattern regulate the expression of LT-beta, which encodes a polypeptide containing 244 amino acids.
