Abstract
A study was conducted to analyze the effects of prednisolone and growth hormone treatment on the capacity of urea N synthesis and urea enzyme mRNA levels. Liver tissues from the left lobe of Wistar rats were stored in liquid N while a Promega kit Z 5110 was utilized to determine the total RNA. Results indicated that prednisolone influences the ability of amino N conversion into urea N and urea cycle gene expression.
