Abstract
The Csk-related nervous tissue and T-lymphocyte kinase (Ntk) expressed in T-lymphocytes and brain cells exhibits Csk-related enzyme activities and controls T-cell growth. Levels of ntk tRNA transcription detected in brain cells is reduced when T lymphocytes are mitogenically stimulated. Ntk kinase sequence is homologous to Src domains 2 and 3 and lacks myristoylation and tyrosine phosphorylation sites.
