Abstract
Research shows that induction of the Ets domain repressor, METS, during macrophage differentiation, arrests the terminal cell cycle by repressing transcription of the cell cycle control genes. Data indicate that METS selectively represses Ets target genes mediateing Ras-dependent proliferation witthout affecting the genes involved in the Ras-dependent differentiation.
