In Connette for Gullatte v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority, the Supreme Court of North Carolina expanded liability for nurses. This decision signaled respect for growing nurse autonomy and will benefit patients; however, the broad holding leaves open questions for nurse practice.
