Abstract
The problem in time-of-flight measurements for oscilloscopes can be solved by triggering the oscilloscopes on one cycle of the initial tone burst and varying the frequency. The correct cycle for time-of-flight measurements remains fixed for the case of delayed burst. The delayed trigger cycle is identified by slow variation of the frequency. During the frequency change the display time of the delayed trigger cycle remains fixed and that of the all other cycle changes.
