Abstract
Monoclonal antibody (MAb) probe of the structural changes induced by heparin in antithrombin reveals the spatial separation of thrombin binding region and increases 1C/4B region. The MAb inhibits the antithrombin action against thrombin without affecting the heparin cofactor activity against thrombin. S-carboxy methylated antithrombin does not react with MAb. A mobile reactive loop is associated with the heparin-binding site.
