Abstract
Research has been conducted on the bis(5-hexadecyloxytropolonato)copper(II) complexes. The mesophase properties of these complexes have been investigated and the results of their crystal structure analysis indicate that the interactions between alkyl chains together with the copper-oxygen interactions dominate the molecular packing of the complexes.
