Abstract
Nurses may need to become familiar with smoking cessation interventions to help women with young children at home to quit smoking. A group of 520 women of various ages with young children in their homes were asked about their smoking habits. Eighteen percent of the women smoked, and more than half of these were light smokers. Light smokers may be less likely to receive cessation advice from doctors and nurses.
