Abstract
Secondary schoolchildren in the UK are required to learn about the weather and meteorological symbols as part of the National Curriculum. It is expected that students are able to read a weather map and predict weather from given symbols. A cheap visual aid that can help with their studies is a felt cloth on which a felt map of the British Isles can be attached with Velcro. Weather symbols, also of felt, can be arranged on the map as required.
