Abstract
Research was conducted to examine the surface topology of the thyroid transcription factor 1 homeodomain (TTF-1HD)-DNA complex using a strategy that combines selective chemical modification and limited proteolysis investigations with mass spectrometry techniques. Results indicate that the structure of isolated TTF-1HD exhibits some differences in relation to that derived by NMR at acidic pH. Findings also showed that the homeodomain interacts with its target oligonucleotide according to the proposed model.
