We report on new occurrence records of Lophostoma brasiliense Peters, 1867 (Chiroptera, Phyllostomidae) from the states of Sao Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, southeastern Brazil. Specimens from Sao Paulo were mist-netted in an area originally covered by the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado ecosystems of which only small and isolated fragments remain, while the specimens from Mato Grosso do Sul came from a well-preserved Cerrado area. The new records confirm the presence of L. brasiliense in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo and clarify the southern edge of the species' range.
