Abstract
“I do not mean to say that nothing have happened in Schiller’s Hungarian reception, but that anything have happened could not move Schiller out of this comfortable, but for the same reason lethal situation, that is, the state of being embalmed.”Present writing takes a look at Schiller’s place in contemporary Hungarian theatrical thinking with reference to the new Hungarian edition of Schiller.
