Abstract
The tell neo - eneolitic from Coţatcu, Potgoria village, is situated in the north-east ofBuzău country ca.15 km north-west of Râmnicul Sărat town, in the hilly area on the right sideof the brook terrace Coţatcu.Starčevo cultural level - Criş was discovered at the base of the tell between 2,50 m and3,15 m, above it was reported several stages of habitation dating Stoicani - Aldeni. Were itfound haly -buried ruins of a hause and an inhumation grave.The archaeological materials can by dated Starčevo - Criş IIIB, or IV Criş.
