Abstract
A programme of Historic Building Recording was undertaken by AOC Archaeology on the 18th January 2005 ahead of development works at Latham's Yard, Lower Clapton. Eight structures, within the disused lumber yard, were recognised as requiring a basic photographic survey and architectural assessment. The structures in question had been utilised as timber storage sheds, with all but one complying to the form of open sides with supported covering canopy. The remaining structure was a more substantial wooden structure, utilising a Belfast Truss design. All structures were constructed in the first half of the 20th century. The age of the structures and the nature of their use was notable, with their value primarily lying in their group value, without retaining any architectural merit.
