Abstract
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in January 2013 at Watermoor Replacement School, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Seven trenches were excavated. No archaeological features or artefacts were encountered. Within the western part of the evaluation area ground levels had been made up and levelled to create a playing field. Buried soil survived in two trenches and a third trench contained no levelling material so any truncation during the creation of the sports pitches may have been minimal.
