characters centered on each local government’s regional colors by examining correlations between currently designated Jeju-do’s character colors and its regional colors in order to make profits from tourism products of Jeju-do, Korea’s main source of tourism. The study conducted the survey to examine the actual situation of Jeju regional colors and its characters and look into the common image awareness of Jeju-do characters. It also studied the suitability of Jeju-do character colors to its regional colors through using the findings as the analysis data. It is an experimental study on the color expression methods of characters through the relationship with regional colors to help promote the regional development by highlighting regional images by local governments’ characters and applying them to tourism.
