This study is aimed to validate the usability of NGM kit according to SWGDAM (Scientific Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods) guideline and developmental validation study by accessing sensitivity, reproducibility, precision, accuracy, mixture, contamination and known and non-probative evidence samples. Our results showed that full profiles were obtained with 0.125 ng or more of input DNA and standard deviation of allele sizing was analyzed below 0.3. Additionally in mixture study, full profiles of the minor contributor were analyzed at a ratio of 1:7 or below, and the profiles of known sample and non-probative sample were identical. Based on these results, NGM kit as a mean of analyzing DNA profiles in forensic casework was determined to be proper in this laboratory.
