Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of fear of evaluation on students' self-handicapping, focusing on the mediating effect of resilience in academic situations. This study was conducted for dental hygiene students in some areas of Busan. As a result of the fear of negative and positive evaluation in academic situations was found to be related to resilience and self-handicapping, and it was confirmed that student resilience played a partial mediating role between these factors. Therefore, it is intended to be used as foundational material for the development of effective academic and emotional support programs for dental hygiene students.
