Abstract
The purpose of this study was to offer basic data available for being conducive to application of a training program in order to enhance athletic performance by comparatively analyzing physique, physical strength, isokinetic strength, and anaerobic exercise capacity between 110mH athletes and 100m short-distance athletes for boys' high school. This study measured physique(arm length, leg length, thigh) and physical strength(quickness, agility, flexibility) targeting 12 track athletes, respectively, for 110mH and 100m at boys' high school, who are physically healthy without having a wound or disease. The isokinetic strength in shoulders, thigh, and waist was measured by using Cybex 770. The anaerobic exercise capacity was measured by using Bicycle ergometer. The measured data was calculated the mean and the standard deviation in each measurement item by using SPSS PC Ver. 19.0. The average difference in physique, physical strength, isokinetic strength, and anaerobic exercise capacity of 110mH athletes and 100m athletes was analyzed by using Independent-Samples t-test. The statistically significant level in all the analyses was selected with .05. As a result, 110mH athletes were indicated to be better in flexibility than 100m athletes. The isokinetics extension force of the left shoulder was indicated to be higher. This result is thought to result from characteristics in hurdling training and item. A follow-up research is considered to be probably necessary through more subjects in the future.
