Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to elucidate the grammatical category of Korean Classifiers from corpus-based research. So far Korean classifiers has been regarded as ‘measural bound noun’ in many studies. However, not only bound nouns but noun can also function as classifiers in korean. In this respect Korean classifiers should be classified as sub-category of noun which then can be classified by it’s typicality.
