Abstract
The objective of this study was to understand chief of private education iInstitutions working in the unique situation of private education. For this purpose, this study tried to answer questions as follows. First, what kind of characteristic in the field of private education Institution?, Second, what kind of life are private education manager experiencing in the field of private education Institution? third, what kind of life are private education teachers educational experiencing in the field of private education Institution? what meanings do private education teachers’ experiences have? This study collected and analyzed cases of three people who manage private education institutions as well as various different data on private education using narrative inquiry as a research method, to understand what it was like to manage private education institutions. The analysis of the collected data shows that the managers at private education institutions simultaneously experience themselves as managers and as teachers, in the private education market where fierce competitions and symbiotic relationships occur. They put in effort to adjust to demands of customers and to survive in the private education market by strategically adopting changes. They don’t just perceive students as their business objects but as individuals with their own personalities, and contemplate each individual’s growth potential. Private Education Institution is a place where students strive to reach their full potential and teachers strive to be better teachers.
