Abstract
Purpose : This study identified the degree of health beliefs that significantly affect health behavior among workers in small businesses, and identified the effect of those factors on the health screening rate. Methods : The survey was conducted on 1,190 workers who agreed to this study in small workplaces with less than 50 employees nationwide, and 1,147 were selected excluding the poor data. Results : The factors that influenced the health screening of workers in small workplaces were the case of supporting paid leave during health screening and the case of informed results of the health screening. It was further found to be statistically significant when perceived susceptibility was high as well as when perceived barriers were low. Conclusion : Through the above results, to increase the health screening rate of workers in small businesses, it is necessary to provide paid health screening leave, explain the health screening results, and support follow-up management according to the results. Also measures to increase the perceived susceptibility and lower perceived barriers in workers' health beliefs should be prepared.
