Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the spatial factors of virtual hospitals constructed for simulation education for nursing students to contribute to future improvement. Using convenience sampling, a total of seventy-nine nursing students were recruited and experienced a virtual hospital. Oculus Quest 2 was the selected device and the MEC Spatial Presence Questionnaire (MEC-SPQ) was used as measurement tool. Python was used to analyze the text responses. The scores of the spatial analysis were a visual factor of 4.06(±0.50), a spatial factor of 4.05(±0.58) and a self location of 4.07(±0.64). The findings of the Python text analysis revealed positive experiences in the virtual hospital overall. Therefore, the use of various technologies that can increase the sense of reality in a virtual space experience should be actively introduced in the field of healthcare education.
