Abstract
This paper shows that it is necessary to consider a 3D antenna pattern for the area design of 5G cellular systems. The quality of the cell was evaluated using a 3D pattern obtained by mechanical tilt and electric tilt of the antenna, and it was found that there was a large difference in SINR. Therefore, to achieve accurate cell design using mechanical tilting, the 3D antenna pattern has to be adopted.
