Abstract
This paper proposes a new design of frequency selective surface (FSS) to be integrated with microstrip array antenna that can reduce the radar cross section (RCS) of antenna. The research in this paper is based on the design of four-element microstrip antenna array with an operating frequency of 4.3GHz. Simulation results show that the antenna loaded with FSS can reduce the maximum monostatic RCS in the high-frequency band by 18 dB, and the radiation characteristics of the antenna is hardly affected. The microstrip array antenna is modeled and simulated by HFSS software.
