Abstract
High-voltage transmission line corona noise triggered by the frequent complaints of neighbouring residents, the current management of corona noise lacks a better economic solution. This paper tests a new type of wire wrapped corona noise suppression technology to carry out corona cage test research on corona noise suppression effect of high voltage transmission lines. Through the use of a high thermal conductivity insulating material, wrapped in the AC transmission conductor, to achieve the purpose of reducing the surface field strength, corona noise suppression. The test is carried out in the corona cage, by loading different voltages to make the surface of the wire to achieve the required field strength, observing the number of UV discharge photons and testing the audible noise to verify the effect of noise reduction.
