Abstract
Nowadays, the attention on operation and maintenance of gas turbine is growing fast because the component used in Oil&Gas application are forced to endure great stress level and extreme conditions. The optimal maintenance solution in term of cost and effectiveness is represented by condition-based maintenance, that allows to monitor the system under test making a maintenance decision based on the health status of the device. One of the most critical equipment of a gas turbine is the mineral lube oil console used to reduce friction and fatigue between moving surfaces. In order to identify the optimal maintenance policies for the oil console, a Reliability Centred Maintenance procedure based on a Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality analysis was applied to the system.
