Abstract
A tapered fed Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna for 5G wireless communication applications with a compact size of $24 mm \times 30 mm$ is proposed in this paper. The operation band of the antenna covers from 3.2 GHz to 6.9 GHz. The introduction of tapered microstrip line significantly enhances the impedance matching of the antenna in the range of 5.0$\sim$6.9 GHz. A T-shaped isolator is introduced at the ground to guarantee isolation better than 15 dB. In this paper, S-parameters, radiation pattern and diversity performances such as ECC and DG are presented and discussed.
