Abstract
This paper presents a continuous-time linear equalizer (CTLE) with active inductor loads in parallel with low frequency branches. The proposed equalizer is realized with active inductor technology and the combination of low and mid frequency circuits separates the zeros of the output function in a 5:1 ratio, significantly enhancing the high frequency gain. The data is equalized by a cascade of two equalizers with different circuit structures to compensate for the damaged signal in turn. Implemented in CMOS 2S nm technology, for the data rate of 20 Gbps, the equalizer achieves a 0. 85UI eye width, and 10.37 dB channel loss at the Nyquist frequency.
