Abstract
A broadband triangle phased array antenna based on printed dipole antenna is proposed in this paper, which works in X-band and Ku-band. With optimized design of the array antenna, an operating frequency band of 2 octaves with the measured active voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of less than 2.2 is achieved. Besides, the grating lobes are suppressed well within ±30° at X-band and ±15° at Ku-band in azimuth, as well as ±18° at X-band and ±10° at Ku-band in elevation. This array antenna can be used in fire-control radar system.
