Abstract
This paper proposes a full-duplex hybrid radio over fiber and visible light communication (ROF-VLC) system based on subcarrier index power modulation orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (SIPM-OFDM) for indoor broadband wireless communication. More index information can be carried on subcarriers by using subcarrier index power modulation. And in the downlink of the hybrid ROF-VLC system, SIPM-OFDM is modulated on a 60GHz millimeter waveform. Wavelength reuse is undertaken to simplifier the system and provide a light source for the uplink. Numerical simulations are taken to analyze the performance of the SIPM-OFDM in a hybrid ROF-VLC system.
