Abstract
Demand of electrical power is rising day by day. This rise of demand has leads to an imbalance between the loads of supply and requisition. In order to obtain the optimum solution for load frequency regulation of multi-area power system, a sophisticated meta-heuristics search algorithm is required. In the proposed research a novel hybrid memetic meta-heuristics search optimization algorithm has been developed to solve load frequency regulation problem of multi-area power system. The proposed hybrid algorithm has been developed using slime mould algorithm and pattern search algorithm. The outcome of the suggested optimizer was tested for standard benchmark functions and analytical results were evaluated with other standard metaheuristics search optimization algorithms.
