Abstract
This paper presents the analysis and design of a single phase single stage unity power factor AC/DC converter employing a series-parallel resonant topology in self-sustained oscillating mode. A controller, that ensures the self-sustained oscillation, is designed such that zero voltage switching condition along all points of the input voltage and for each value of the load current is guaranteed. The performance of the proposed scheme is verified experimentally on a 1 kW prototype power factor corrected AC/DC supply.
