Abstract
This paper mainly focuses on the in-depth study of the application of multibeam bathymetry in different seabed topography. Firstly, the functional relationship model of seawater depth and coverage width is constructed by spatial geometric relationship and sine theorem, and numerically solved by MATLAB software. Secondly, the model was extended to calculate the coverage width under different conditions, considering the change of the direction of the survey line. Finally, the genetic algorithm was applied to find the optimal line distance and coverage through several iterations.
