Abstract
The wireless power transfer (WPT) technology with magnetically-coupled resonance can achieve high power and long-distance charging, and has significant advantages such as safety and convenience, thus becoming a preferred charging method at present. Considering the future application of WPT technology, this paper analyzes the loss characteristics of magnetic resonant WPT system with S-S topology. Firstly, the equivalent circuit model of the WPT system is firstly established, and the loss calculation methods of different parts of the system are given. Then, the loss distribution of each part of the WPT system with different power levels, different magnetic materials and different operating frequencies are quantitatively analyzed through experiments, and the main components and main determining factors of the system loss are obtained. Finally, the improvement measures to reduce the loss of each part of WPT system are put forward, which has certain reference significance for the design and improvement of WPT systems.
