Abstract
Recently, many types of research about a textile antenna have been studied, and it is considered that it is useful for use in a vicinity of a human body because of its characteristics of flexible, low cost and compatibility to clothes. However, in terms of designing a textile antenna, some problems may occur mainly in the design of the feeding method due to an available feed direction or a textile’s thins. Besides, human moving when wearing a textile antenna certainly affects the quality of communications, so multiple polarizations and bands can be a candidacy for a guarantee of stable communication. In this paper, we report on a design method for dual-band and dual-polarization of a textile antenna using a rectangular patch and co-planer feeding line. The proposed antenna achieves around 5.5 dBi on each resonant frequency, and these frequencies are available to desire from 4.9 GHz to 5.6 GHz by using an L-shaped slot on the radiation element.
