Abstract
This paper presents a “top-down” pre-design method of electromagnetic compatibility for ship platform. Through constructing the energy-transfer model and relating matrix of the being interfered systems at the stage of concept-design of new ship, we can use numerical electromagnetic simulation, behavioral model, simulated testing, and data statistics method to evaluate the whole-all electromagnetic status, complete index assignment and optimization design of sensitive equipments and systems. The good ship platform EMC performance can be achieved by evaluating EMC performance, assigning the EMC indexes quantificationally. Additionally, the system EMC performance can be analyzed along with the change of subsystem or equipments EMC indexes, and the subsystem or equipments parameters can be adjusted to meet the system EMC requirements as well. And following these steps, we can control electromagnetic status for the all and the one of different ship platforms and potential EMC problems can be exposed at the stage of pre-design and resolved before the design is finalized.
