Abstract
The influence of the intensity of discharge processes in mineral transformer oil on the change of its tangent of dielectric loss angle (tgδ) has been investigated. It was obtained that the increase in the duration of discharge processes leads to a consistent increase in the value of tgδ of the oil. It is shown that adsorption purification by synthetic silica gel of transformer oils aged under the influence of high-voltage discharges allows to restore the value of tgδ to normalized values. At the same time the efficiency of oil purification from degradation products was higher than in case of purification of operational oils aged under conditions of thermo-oxidative processes. The dependence of tgδ value of oil subjected to discharge processes on temperature was also investigated. It was obtained that tgδ increases with temperature, which is characteristic for polar dielectrics. On the basis of the conducted research, it is concluded that during discharge processes in oil polar compounds are formed, which can be removed from oil with the help of various adsorbents.
