Abstract
We revisit a previously presented algorithm for comparing measured signals with reference signals during Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing of industrial automation systems and prove relevant properties. The algorithm differs from existing approaches to signal matching by a more versatile tolerance specification. The advantage of the latter is illustrated by three typical examples.
