Abstract
A Spanner-shaped antenna that covers the sub-6 GHz 5G range and operates between 3.59 GHz and 18.78 GHz is described in this article. It includes a circular patch with a Spanner-shaped modification, microstrip line feed, and coplanar ground planes. It features dimensions of $20 \times 26$ mm 2 , fractional bandwidth of 135.8%, quasi-stable radiation patterns, peak realized gain of 6 dBi, efficiency near 90%, and an excellent Bandwidth-to-Dimension Ratio (BDR) 1827. This proposed antenna betters the previously described designs in terms of broader bandwidth, compact dimensions, high BDR, peak gain, and size compactness. This design is a good fit for modern ultra-wideband and V2X applications.
